My Own Swordsman (QWorld/Wulin2) - Gunner Class Gameplay First Look | iOS/Android
武林外传手游: Perfect World Games (完美世界游戏) has launched the first full-expansion of its comedy, martial arts-inspired mobile MMORPG, "My Own Swordsman" in China.
The game is now called "My Own Swordsman" (武林外传手游) in China, also known as "Legend of Martial Arts" in North America, and "QWorld" in Southeast Asia. The mobile game has been running for a couple of months now as the first ever quality remake of popular old MMORPGs of Perfect World, along with Perfect World Mobile, and now Forsaken World Mobile being in the works too.
Known as "Q-World" when released in Southeast Asia, the game was renamed as "Legend of Martial Arts" when launched in the US in 2010. In its testing phases 2 years before, Legend of Martial Arts was previously named as "Kung Foo!."
Legend of Martial Arts is by far the most casual MMO Perfect World has ever created. However, Legend of Martial Arts is very similar to its Perfect World counterparts. Its basis in traditional Chinese mythology and the game engine used in developing the MMO (Angelica 3D), making the PWI and LoMA very similar in terms of gameplay, setting, graphics, and even the UI.
"Legend of Martial Arts" (Wulin 2/QWorld) was originally launched as the second MMORPG from the original developers of Perfect World Online (完美世界) in China in 2006, months after launching Perfect World Online. The game could also be seen as the predecessor to Ether Saga. This new mobile version will retain key features such as its colourful world, pets, costumes, iconic classes, and landmarks found in the PC version.
In the west, Legend of Martial Arts didn't show a big success, thus it didn't last long and had it shut down few months after the launch. While I had enjoyed the game during those days, the joy had to be stopped due to its closing doors.
