[UPDATE: V0.9.6] The same settings apply for this update. Only things added are "Software skinning [v]" you can set this to on, and "Timer hack [ ]" set this to off. Other than that some controller settings added, not much to do with performance :). Enjoy!

A lot has changed in the settings menu of PPSSPP v0.9.5 vs v0.9.1 so here is an overview of my settings which comes in two stages this time. FIRST a set of (BASIC SETTINGS) on which the majority of PSP games run at its best and look nice and crisp. And SECOND some (EXTRA SETTINGS) to add to the first ones to give "some" games extra speed. The extra settings will not work for all games. It will course for some to have graphical glitches, and others to not run at all (which did run on the first basic settings).


(IN SHORT):
Use the (BASIC SETTINGS) on your games and if the game runs good, then add the (EXTRA SETTINGS) to it. So if the game runs worse after adding the (EXTRA SETTINGS) then just return back to the first. Easy.... no?

(AND IF YOUR GAME DOES NOT RUN AT ALL TRY THIS):
- Turning on/off "Buffered Rendering"
- Turning on/off "Fast Memory"
(Try each of these or both, and after turning on/of RELOAD your game!)

(FINALLY):
If after all this you're still not satisfied with the FPS/speed of the game you can try to add some frameskipping. I don't recommend using this (it's a dirty way for emulators to gain speed) but it may help in some cases if applied in "small" amounts, just remember to add one frameskip at a time and check how the game likes it or not.
