My Three Mouseketeers - GoPro Test with Cats at 720P with 120 FPS
It was time to splurge and buy a GoPro Hero3+ Black Edition video and still camera. 12 MP still photos, WI-FI, and up to 4K in 15 FPS and 120 FPS in 720P, how could I resist. Did I mention that it only weighs a few ounces, you can use your iPhone as a remote, and it's waterproof safely to about 120 ft., (I'm being really cautious here). And GoPro comes with way too many crazy accessories that will drain your wallet dry.
Well, I've only had it for 2 days now, so I really haven't gone on any exciting adventures. I simply started with my feline stars, Harley, Merlin, and Suki in our front yard. I slapped it on my new monopod and gave it a whirl. After looking at the footage, I have decided that I will invest in a Glidecam for these kinds of shots to get more stability, although I still enjoyed the results of my first test runs with the GoPro. I think this camera and my iPhone combined will be my new best friends out in the adventurous big wide world.
GOPRO 123 video shot by me, phoenixgenesis, on August 30, 2014 in Glendale, California on the GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition. I shot at 720P at 120 FPS on wide view. The colors are simply spectacular. I just bought the new LCD Touch BacPac from GoPro, but I haven't used it yet. That will be coming up shortly.
