My World | A CoD Edit

It's been almost a year since I last tried to make an edit. A lot of things have changed since then, and here am I getting back to the roots. I had to choose a topic to base the edit on, and thought with my view on montages and edits would be a good starting point. Actually, it is more of a critique rather than an exposition of my thoughts, since I believe montages have been milked ad nauseum. Probably that's what's going to generate the most negative feedback, but who the fuck cares :P
Since I didn't really know what to do with it, I just randomly searched for an active editing contest and found the ones hosted by Meek. So I grabbed the clips from there and there's where I present this.
Fact is, I believe montages should have a message, and/or tell a story. Plain audio and edit is fine, you can do that, and try to arouse sensations and emotions on the viewer. But I think you should go further, you should try to send a message, no matter how abstract it might appear at first glance. COHESION. In this video it was very straightforward, my general thoughts on editing montages enclosing them on "my world".
