My YouTube account was hacked on Friday the 24th of February 2023. On Sunday the 26th of February I was back in control.
The long story short is that if your account is hacked, tweet to YouTube on their twitter accounts, telling them you've been hacked and you need their help. Make sure you are following them too so they are able to send you a DM.
I got my account by emailing YouTube's Partner support. Their email address is only available to YouTube partners, so if you are a YouTube Partner, make a note of their address when you still can.
In the video I said it was about 1am Sunday morning but upon checking it was actually just gone 10pm Saturday night. I emailed them at about 7pm on the Friday, which meant the whole process took around 27 hours.
For Pivot Alien Invasion Fight War Animation (part 26), I'm still working on it. Almost 10 minutes are done now, but there's still a bit to go. I'd guess it'll be around 15 minutes when it's done (though my guesses are often wrong, so no promises). I think most of the harder parts to animate are done, so the remainder that I need to do I'll be able to make quicker than what I've done so far. The footage in the background of this video is a clip I recorded of myself animating it.
Since making this video, my account was banned because of what the hacker uploaded. That happened on the 27th February. I again went to contact Partner support via their email and they were able to transfer my channel to a different email address as well as undo what the hacker had done. I was back in control again on the 2nd March. By transferring the account, I was able to keep all my views & subscribers, though I had to set up some security features again, and the comments I'd posted have been deleted. At the moment, they're trying to get my AdSense account back.
