Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Paths Initial Gameplay (2013, Neko Entertainment)
The movement scheme in the game is similar to Diablo or a MOBA. So it's like a non-violent Diablo-like Stealth game!
I had to cut the gameplay short due to kids.
The Mysterious Cities of Gold (太陽の子エステバン Taiyō no ko Esuteban, "Esteban, Child of the Sun"; French: Les Mystérieuses Cités d'or), is a French-Japanese animated series co-produced by DIC Entertainment and Studio Pierrot. The series premiered in Japan on NHK on 29 June 1982 and ran weekly for 39 episodes until its conclusion on 5 February 1983. Set in 1532, the series follows the adventures of a young Spanish boy named Esteban who joins a voyage to the New World in search of the lost Cities of Gold and his father.
At the end of 2012 a new series was released picking up the storyline where the 1982 series left off. Unlike the original series, this sequel is produced entirely in France; as a co-joint venture between the French television channel TF1, the Belgian channel La Trois, the French animation company Blue Spirit and Jean Chalopin's company Movie-Plus Group. The first of the new seasons sees the series move to China. The design of the characters are more or less the same, although some subtle changes have been made to their physical appearances.
The Mysterious Cities of Gold: Secret Paths is a game developed by Neko Entertainment and published by Ynnis Interactive, relating the events told in The Mysterious Cities of Gold (2012 TV series).
The game is composed of puzzles and infiltrations sequences. The player must use the characters taking advantage of their skills : Esteban (unlocking mechanisms with the power of the sun), Zia (slipping into narrow spaces) and Tao (decrypting Mu language and sending Pichu retrieving distant objects).
Six months after discovering the first golden city in Central America, and back to Barcelona, Esteban, Zia and Tao are looking for the missing 6 cities. Aboard their Great Condor and accompanied by Pichu, Mendoza, Pedro and Sancho, they embark to Asia, especially to China and Tibet. They are followed by Zares, a mysterious stranger in the pay of the King of Spain, who is determined to prevent the children from accomplishing their quest.
