Mystery of the Congo is a fun game which utilizes two sets of reels and in some ways is reminiscent of the Colossal Reels family of games by WMS.
You win by landing winning combinations on either reelset 1(the Main reel) or reelset 2(the Mammoth reel), and to help you achieve that Big Win or Jackpot, IGT has added a feature called King Stacks where certain reel positions are replaced with premium symbols before each spin commences.
The "Move-Expand Stacks" feature is triggered by fully landing a premium stack or wild stack on the Main reel after which it will transfer to the Mammoth reel. If you are lucky enough to land all Wild symbols in the Main reel, you will the Top Progressive award!
The "Congo Multiplier Wheel" may randomly be triggered on any standard game spin, where both an Inner Reel and Outer Reel spin for multipliers which are then multiplied together for that particular spin. In addition, wedges of "Free" and "Games" may also land, and if they do you are awarded 1 round of free games in the Congo Free Games feature which consists of 3 free games.
The Congo Free Games feature can also be triggered by landing 5 or more scattered Free Games bonus symbols on the reels for 1 round of free games for 3 free games. During the bonus, the wheels spin to award you a multiplier although after the 2nd spin, the 5x positions on both the inner and outer wheels change to "5x END" symbols. Your bonus continues until you land these symbols on both the inner and outer wheels for one final spin at 25x!
