Mystic Gate is a Roguelike where you'll fight through 5 dungeons, face unique bosses, many enemies, and find well over 50 weapons while making use of many permanent upgrades. While I don't go into it in the video, it is a game you can play with Local Co-Op.

Special thanks to @JPNicheGaming for recommending the game, and giving me the information I needed to request a review key. Consider following them for another great gaming channel!

Clarification: I said I finished the game in about 2.5-3 hours, but apparently it was 5. It's the kind of game you kind've get sucked into.

Mini Review:
Total time to beat the game was about 5 hours. I do think it's theoretically possible to complete the game in under an hour if you're really good. However, it certainly feels like there is a bit of a "grind" factor to the game in the form of permanent upgrades. The permanent upgrades that increase the odds of finding a good weapon or increasing the amount of damage you do with a weapon type are huge incentives for replay of the dungeons.
Each dungeon will have a random set of rooms which will make each run unique. There are specific enemies you will run into in each dungeon which also helps them stand apart from previous dungeons. Within the dungeon you'll find a shopkeeper who sells health potions, weapons, and skills. In addition to the shopkeeper you can also find chests that have gems or weapons.
The gems are used to purchase and upgrade abilities, and gold is used for the shopkeeper. Gems are maintained through death, but your gold will disappear into the void when you die.
Sound design is a bit of a mixed bag for the game. The music feels like a very short clip that repeats forever. While it isn't bad, it isn't particularly memorable. Weapon sounds are typically good, but the sound effects for things like the beam weapon are bad to the point that you may avoid them altogether.
Graphically the game looks great. Enemies have unique appearances and the variation of weapons goes far more in depth than color changes. I did find the color schemes of the dungeons and enemies would occasionally cause them to blend in with the background and make it a bit difficult to see. Your robot buddy would also more often than not just get in the way of enemies. Boss design looks very cool.
Overall I recommend it for roguelike fans and think you'll have a blast.
