The Nintendo 64, or N64 as it is often referred to, was initially launched in June 1996 in Japan, and then in September in North America, before launching in Europe and Australia in March of the following year. In total there were almost 400 games released for the system.
Like the Nintendo consoles before, the N64 games came in a cardboard box which meant that they were less robust and aged badly (especially when compared to Sega hard-cased games from Saturn and the Playstation hard-shell CDs). They were prone to ripping, being crushed and easily damaged from day-to-day use. The console was released in 1996 so games are over 20 years old, and cardboard does not age well. This is where Retroshell comes in!
At RetroShell we want to provide the best products for video game preservation. Our N64 game protectors are precision made of the finest 4mm acrylic and will offer your precious retro games the best protection from damage. Our Nintendo 64 game box protectors are designed to stack vertically and can also be aligned horizontally allowing you to showcase your collection in all its glory, whilst keeping them safe from knocks and bumps.
Our bespoke cases ensure a snug fit with a custom trapdoor to easily access the boxes so you can continue to play these timeless classics.
Please note, these do not offer protection from UV and we always recommend keeping them out of bright light which can fade the boxes and designs.
