It's time to speed our way through the major city, Chicago style! One can transform FS95 into a driving simulator (Microsoft Driving Simulator 95!). In all honestly though, while there is the novelty factor behind it, driving around in FS95 isn't as exciting as it sounds, even in a NASCAR. However, the fact that this mod even exist demonstrates the modding capabilities that the MSFS series of games have always been known for. Starting in FS3/4, a mod community formed which greatly expanded in the FS 5.x days. By the time of FS95, modders were ready to take the game to the next level. Not to hard as FS95 was basically a port of FS 5.1 to Windows 95. Thus, the engine was largely unchanged except for a few visual enhancements here and there. The flight models were exactly the same, making it easier for modders to port there planes (and cars) to the new game.

Driving around though is much trickier as FS95 was designed to be a flight simulator, as implied by the title. Thus, the driving mechanics is going to conform much more like a plane, but on ground level. It makes for some interesting driving though as one starts to approach the Windy City. It's now time to take on the fast streets of Chicago!

DOSBox is emulating a multimedia PC with a Intel Pentium Processor set to max cycles, 32MB's of RAM, S3 Trio 32/64 SVGA Video Adapter, and a Creative Labs SoundBlaster 16 Audio Adapter. Windows 95 OSR2 is installed with Microsoft Plus! 95.
