NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 is slated for earlier this year however it was pushed back to October 16th after a partnership was announced with 2K games. Now that the game is out it's clear what their strategy was here adding microtransactions and a serious grind to get everything without paying actual money. This is a large turn around from the first game that provided cards quickly with no microtransactions.
