NBA 2K22_You Could've Part Of This Win
Me, Pat and John ran rec with two AI's against a full team. I was expecting a loss, but between the three of us, we got the job and and picked up the dub. The five we played against quickly went to 4 + 1 AI cause one of their players might have gotten DC'd. They went with the spread offense that we typically see in 2K now, but the movement felt predictable. The center relegated himself to the corners and wings on offense and didn't really screen for the ball handler. But I'm not every going to complain about that. I think this was a good run cause Pat and John got the opportunity to play create, which we needed causes they key thing we do on our sets is pass, move and cut. Here are the key take aways.
- John: I'm not sure the other team had a actual center, but 11 rebounds at the half means Sauce was putting in work to rebound. The thing that he does better than any one on our team is that he knows where to set screens in our offense. Since we're constantly running around to get open, the fact that he knows the best spots to screen really puts us at the advantage to disrupt the other team's perimeter defense. What I actually got to see a lot in this game is John's swing passes. Because John sets his screens on the wings, he's actually the best person to kick it out to if things get jammed up in the interior. John, just needs to read the floor and kick it to the open shooter like he did in the beginning of the game.
- Pat: This year regardless of who fills in the other 4 positions, if Pat is the PF, then we've got the guy that will do a little of everything on the court and it makes a world of difference. I sometimes forget that Pat played a guard in 2K21 and that he has that knack to create when the ball is in his hands cause that was he does playing ball in real life. One of the weaknesses in Pat's build is that he can't finish well in the paint if someone is there to guard him, but in those instances, Pat is very capable of drawing his defender and maybe even the center out of the key to allow for someone to run in for the dunk. (see 14:20). We might need to run a couple sets with Pat having the ball in his hands at the top of the key.
