NCAA 14 - Scoring 100 Points on Alabama With New Mexico State and Only Options on Heisman Difficulty
2A full game of NCAA Football 14, using New Mexico State University (tied for the fifth worst team in the game) to defeat Alabama (the best team in the game) while only using option (read, triple, shovel, speed) plays on Heisman (hardest) difficulty. We even chose to play Bama at their home stadium, just to prove neutral fields don't have an effect of making the game easier. 15 minute quarters, Heisman difficulty, with gameplay sliders left unchanged. Two players are present to user linebackers on defense and run the options more effectively. Played on a real PS3 with a capture card hooked up to a laptop running OBS that was used to livestream the game, which was then downloaded from the VOD and edited. Stream quality settings were set to low, which caused some blatant screen tearing issues and freezes at points, but there is nothing we can do about that now. This team was SLOW and had little to no speed anywhere on the field. One of the most important cogs of making this challenge work is good speed at the QB position, as he is the one who carries the ball the most, and NMSU had none of it. Very lucky the AI DBs decided to step up and create plays with 3 interceptions and 2 pick-sixes, otherwise we would still be trying this challenge to this very day.
