"Nearer, My God, To Thee" - Arrangement by St4bility
20Two days ago at the time of this video's upload (14 Apr 2024) marked the 112th anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic. "Nearer, My God, To Thee" is reported by survivors to have been the final song played by the ship's band as she made her descent into the freezing Atlantic ocean.
"If this evening did anything, I hope it inspires you to go home, get in bed, and clutch onto that blanket a little tighter. Feel the warmth and safety of the home you live in. If you have someone next to you, hold them a little tighter. These 2,208 individuals endured one terrible, cold night so that we may experience many, many warm nights ahead. I hope you feel that way tonight, and every night for the next 365 nights until you join us again next year."
