1In order to unlock the Rematch achievement, you must defeat the Fallen Wizard. There are a few things you must do before you can fight the Fallen Wizard, so follow the steps below to be able to fight him and earn the achievement.
Just a quick note, but I had already beaten the Fallen Wizard, so my armor and weapon are really strong since I have been upgrading them with end game items. These fights will be pretty tough on your first visit! If you are having difficulty with the bosses, keep upgrading your gear and weapons. You can always lower the difficulty as well, and I don't think that this should affect the achievement unlocking. I play on Classic, which is the "normal" difficulty and it worked for me.
First off, since this is the final boss of the game (in its current state), you will want to be prepared! Make sure to bring the best weapon and armor for your class, as well as having them enchanted for passive bonuses. Make sure to have potions that raise defense, attack, etc. as well as health potions. Another great tip I can give is to bring a Banner Stand (or multiple) and place them in the coming boss fight arena.
Once you feel you are prepared, grab a Deep Ladder Down (blue ladder item), and head to a Desert on the map. Once at the desert, find a spot to use your Deep Ladder Down, and then interact with it to enter the Deep Desert. Kill enemies in this biome, and eventually one will (hopefully) drop a Dragon Souls item. This is the item you need to spawn the Deep Desert boss. Once you have found one, explore the biome until you find the summoning pedestal (if you haven't already). Drink your potions to get buffs, eat some food if you need to, and use your Banner Stands and Banners. Once you are ready, interact with the pedestal to start the fight.
The Deep Desert boss is two dragons named Grit and Sage. They will circle you out of melee range, so using ranged/magic weapons works well while they do this. After a while, they will try to ram into you twice in a row, so dodge them. They will go back to circling you, but then they will tighten the circle. When they do this, they will each shoot a laser towards each other which forms a line through the middle. The laser spins, so walk with it to avoid it while attacking. They repeat this process until one dies, and the one left alive will go berserk, trying to ram into you more frequently.
Once both are dead, you will get a message that a hidden staircase is opening up. Near the pedestal, you should now see a set of stairs leading down. Head down the stairs and you will be in a linear biome. There will be small dead ends branching off of the main path with treasure chests so make sure to explore. At the end of the path will be another staircase down which leads to the Fallen Wizard.
When you head down the stairs, the Fallen Wizard will be waiting for you, but won't attack you until he is attacked. Take this time to set up the arena with your Banner Stands and Banners, refill your health, eat, and use your potions. Once you are ready, attack the Fallen Wizard to start the fight.
The Fallen Wizard has a few attacks up his sleeve. He will fire waves of energy at you, but these are pretty easy to dodge. Next, he will split into multiple copies, and you can only damage the correct one. Once the real one is the last one left, he will fire a laser that sweeps the room in a circular attack. He is stationary when he does this, so if you dodge the laser quickly, you can get in some decent hits. After the laser, he will send ninja star looking purple orbs outwards from himself. These are easier to dodge when you are not close to him. Next, he will summon two green dragon enemies that will try to ram into you. Kill these as soon as you can, they aren't very tough. For his last attack, he will shoot a volley of fast projectiles at you. Sprint around to avoid these, or get in close for some easy hits since he will be stationary (just watch your health!).
After the final attack, he will keep cycling through the same moves in that order. As his health start to drop, these attacks will be faster and more powerful, so learn his pattern to know how to avoid taking damage while also using the time he is stationary to get attacks in. Once he is dead, the achievement will unlock!
