3I thought my car sounded like it was making a bit more noise from the engine than it should...more tapping ticking noises...so I wanted to add more oil, but did not have a funnel...mostly because after you use one, it stays dirty and yucky and can make a mess of your car...so, I grabbed coke bottle...and cut the bottle off...yes, I rinsed it to make sure there was no contamination introduced into the engine...and really, if you are by the side of a highway, who cares...get the fluid in and get on the way...afterwards, I put the bottle in a bag and indeed, recycled it. Be very carful when dealing with car cooling fluids as indeed, they may be hot...I needed to add oil, I wanted to add oil and I did not want to spill it all over the engine...I needed a funnel, and this was a quick solution...be careful out there...do not cut yourself with the scissors...best to first get a bit of a piercing into the bottle and then start cutting...water bottles might be easier as they tend to be thinner...
