All hard difficulty events pay $8000 and are the highest paying events in the game. They pay the same amount of money and rep no matter how many times you complete them, so the fastest way to earn money and rep is to repeatedly play the shortest hard difficulty event you can complete.

The quickest one I've found is the Fueled For The Fire event. It's an easy time trial with mostly straight lines
and only takes around 90 seconds each time to get $8000 and 30k rep. If you're decent at drifting, Half Past Ignite is another hard difficulty event that takes under 2 minutes.

Once you've won, you can open the map and teleport back to the start and do it again as much as you need to.

There's also currently a glitch with the parts inbox where you can repeatedly sell all your preorder items repeatedly.
Go to your parts inbox and sell all the parts you got from the preorder pack.

Now restart the game. When you get back to your parts inbox, everything you just sold is back and you can sell them again.
This gets you over $50,000 each time.

If you have the deluxe edition, you can use the 10% discount to buy cars and then sell them for more than what you paid. If you can afford the McLaren, you can buy and sell it over and over for $9000 each time. If you don't have enough, you can also do it with cheaper cars. The BMW M2 for example gets you $1500 each time.

How much rep does it take to get level 50? 5,925,000.
