Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2012 Apple M1 Base ( 8GB ) 2020 [ 4K ]
In this video, I’m playing Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2012 (Windows Game) on my 13" MacBook Pro M1 (8GB) using Crossover with the latest CXPatcher. With battery health settings turned off, I achieved a smooth 60 FPS on the menu screen. However, during gameplay, I experienced audio stuttering issues, which affected the overall experience.
I’ve tried running the game with both DXVK and D3DMetal backends, but the results remain the same—no improvement for the audio issue. Despite the stuttering, the game itself is playable, and it’s fascinating to see a classic title like this running on an M1 Mac through Crossover with CXPatcher.
It’s worth noting that the latest version of CXPatcher was used for this test, but these issues persist. Hopefully, future updates or tweaks can resolve the audio problems for a smoother experience.
