At the Paradyne Headquarters, Wyatt is currently asking Brian again why he can't stop those street racers, Brian replies Wyatt's new technology that he gave to his "Paradyne's Pride" team isn't working & makes them slower. Plus, Wyatt's self-driving A.I made his Sián brake instantly when he goes ahead & almost created a pile-up in City Square.

However, Wyatt disagrees his excuses & commands Brian to get back to work on taking down the street racers as he makes his warning to remove his blank cheque he gave to him disappears.

Brian decides to not argue to Wyatt since he never listen as he still keeping his city, so he follow his orders.

Wyatt Fawkes is pretty much like Dr. Eggman now, so much like those Sonic games.

Back to the Underground's safehouse, Mary wakes me up because she received the word from one of "Paradyne's Pride" team, Shadow, so we're going after him in order to make them get disbanded from their Paradyne's team.

We found Shadow, but he won't talk as he wants us to leave him, so Mary decides to race against him to show him what he left behind. During their race, Mary notices that Shadow isn't beating her on straights as she remembered, which it's different from Shadow always won his race with her, so she asks him where's his "Team Renegade" edge. Shadow replies with the Paradyne technology always countering his own moves.

Finally, Shadow gives up & decides to tell the truth. He confesses that Wyatt blackmailed him after he was caught for stealing his technology, which it's confirms what happened to him because he was disappeared during "Precipice Of Power" & was forced to work with Wyatt & taking his alternative name as "Percival" during "Lion's Den". Mary already knew that & telling Shadow when has a threat like that ever worked to him, because the Shadow she know is brave, cunning & a real Renegade. Ashley arrives & she can help Shadow by wipe his record, but suggests him to stay low for a while.

With their words, Shadow is convinced & quits from "Paradyne's Pride" team as he has a place to live off the grid. He thanked Mary & wants drinks with her in next 6 months, which Mary accepts him.

Next is Joe, a one-time playable character in NFS: Heat & his 1st appearance in "Eclipse" from NFS: No Limits. Me, Blake & Ashley engage the chase to stop him as Blake asks where's Maggie, Joe didn't answer as he replies Blake to get with the program because the Underground is old news.

Blake decides to stop Joe by telling Ashley to take left while me go right. We nod as we taking both sides of Joe's McLaren P1, and he got stopped. Joe was shocked when Ashley handcuffs him as he says she was on Paradyne's side, but she talks back with she's on the side of justice. That was a little tryhard, but we feel great. Blake asks Joe again with where's Maggie, but I didn't focus on Joe when I see both Brian & Ryo.

With "Paradyne's Pride" team is losing side as both Brian & Ryo are the only left, Ryo says this isn't working as he doesn't want to end up in jail & not want to let Hiroshi be alone, but Brian promises him that he won't let that happen as he has planned secretly to quit working Paradyne without letting Wyatt know before he sees me as Kim's prodigy.

It's good to see Brian still recognized me.
