Need for Speed Unbound was released the same day as another game I had my eye on - The Callisto Protocol - but it's a totally different kind of game.

I've been playing Need for Speed ever since I picked up Need for Speed II, and haven't actually missed an edition* (* this does not include any handheld/mobile versions). My favourite is still Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 on the Playstation 2, followed closely by Need for Speed Underground 2, then the first Most Wanted. I haven't really been a giant fan of the most recent, but I did like the newer Most Wanted and Hot Pursuits by Criterion.

In this I create my character, then pick a car, it gets fixed up, we go driving, enter a race, don't win, then go back into the garage, update the car (a little), then go out for another drive.

I'm taking advantage of EA Play's Free 10 hour trial - still not sure I want to buy it right now, but I'll pay some more and we'll see.
