Episode Summary:
Following the previous episode Rindo nearly flies into Fret. Rindo contemplates turning back time because he didn’t plan on running into Fret today but decides not to as to conserve his energy. Fret tells him that he almost scared Fret to death. Rindo apologizes and Fret wonders if he just woke up because he looks tired. Rindo admits that he did. Fret makes an irritated indirect comment about Rindo’s state of living in the reaper’s game saying that no one sleeps like the dead. Which, Rindo is dead technically. An awkward silence falls over the two at the thought of their last meeting.

Fret makes another snarky comment about how Rindo seems to sleep on top of the 104 building and how that’s dangerous to be up so high and Rindo answers back just as irritated that he can fly so it’s not a problem. Nagi comments about how thick the tension is between the two then takes the chance to thank Rindo for stepping in with Susukichi as the outcome could have been bad if he didn’t. Rindo tells them that he wasn’t helping them instead he was only doing his job by enforcing the rules of the game. He further clarifies that he can’t help them as a reaper because he would lose his status as a reaper. Fret is upset by this fact and thinks that Rindo cares more about his job than the players’ lives, including Fret’s life. Rindo tells him that he didn’t say that and that Fret doesn’t understand the situation. Fret is upset because Rindo keeps telling him that he doesn’t understand but Rindo won’t explain things to him. After telling Fret that he can’t explain it, Fret gets even madder. Rindo changes the conversation by asking if they should be working on their mission and where Minamimoto was. Nagi explains that Minamimoto left and that their mission is to seek out Neku. Rindo is surprised by this mission since Neku isn’t supposed to be in the game anymore. Fret asks if Rindo knew Neku and Rindo denies that he does but that Uzuki and Kariya had told him about Neku and that Neku was before his time in the game. Fret asks if Rindo had to play the game too, as he remembers Shoka’s story of becoming a reaper. Rindo confirms that he too had to play the game.
