Episode Summary:
Fret and Nagi finish up the mission where they meet Kanon and her team for the first time. And Nagi laments that she doesn’t think they can achieve victory in this game because their team is so small. Fret understands why she feels like that, especially after seeing Kanon’s team; he also realizes why Rindo as ‘Mr. Monocrow’ (a nickname since ‘Swallow’ wears all monocrow-branded items) had told him to join Kanon’s team now. Nagi wonders if it is too late to change teams, and Fret reassures her that he thinks they can do it, now with Kanon’s team to look up to as an example. Nagi excites herself by thinking that Minamimoto is the strength to their victory, and Fret is annoyed because Minamimoto doesn’t engage with the team except in battles.

Kariya approaches them, teases them about not picking up the mission pin after defeating the boss, and wonders if someone didn’t explain the rules to them well enough or if they were just being generous. Kariya laughs that he can’t wait to tell Uzuki about the event later. Fret is surprised to see another reaper with the same wings that ‘Mr. Monocrow’ has, and is shocked that they can fly with those wings. Fret wonders about the difference between the Shibuya Reapers and the Shinkuku Reapers since Shoka doesn’t have wings. Nagi suspects that what Kariya says implies there are multiple games that take place in other regions. Kariya confirms and reiterates the rules of the game. Fret is annoyed by the rules because he doesn’t remember dying in the first place. Kariya teases him that he’s heard that a lot, but then Kariya gets serious as he tells them that they need to do better in the game so that they don’t get put in last place.

Fret wonders to himself if Rindo had ended up in the game, but Fret gets upset because he thinks Rindo is still gone because it’s been a few years since Rindo died. Fret gets more upset as he thinks about it because Rindo was his best friend, and he didn’t get the chance to say goodbye or apologize for something Fret doesn’t make clear yet. Fret believes it’s easier not to think about that now.
