Episode Summary:
Fret wakes up in the scramble crossing after a flash of green light that he saw. He realizes it is the beginning of the day instead of the afternoon when they were surrounded by the deep river society. Fret has no idea why he has gone back in time but remembers someone telling him to change his fate. He suspects that someone might have sent them back in time, but he isn’t sure who or why. Fret tries to remember what happened at the beginning of the day. Rindo as ‘Mr. Monocrow’ approaches Fret to scold him about their ranking in the game and tells Fret he should have taken the advice to join the Variabeauties. Fret remembers ‘Mr. Monocrow’ approached him that morning and scolded him before. Fret thinks that ‘Mr. Monocrow’ is suspicious and doesn’t know why he is approaching Fret.

Fret teases ‘Mr Monocrow’ and asks him if the ‘Wicked Twisters’ had got Mr. Monocrow’s attention because of their team performance. Rindo is annoyed with Fret’s response and told him that the wicked twisters attracted attention for all the wrong reasons and the fact they are almost in last place. Fret cheerfully tells him the team isn’t in last place yet and that they can still win this. Rindo scolds him again, telling him to stop joking around and asking if Fret really doesn’t understand what will happen if they lose the game. Fret internally thinks about how that already almost happened before someone rewinded time, but feels he shouldn’t talk about it because he feels it might be seen as cheating. Fret asks what the prize of the game was. And Rindo explains that the winner of the game could ask for whatever they want, but that if they don’t ask for their life back, then they will have to replay the game and hope they win again.

Fret wonders to himself if he could bring Rindo back to life if he won the game. (Still not knowing that Rindo is standing right in front of him.) Rindo tells him that he should think more carefully about the decisions he makes, addressing him by Fret’s nickname before leaving the Scramble by flying. Fret comments about how he could fly and wonders if Shoka told ‘Mr. Monocrow’ his nickname.
