Neoverse Naya TU15C Challenge (#5/Fin.)
0I did it. It was another Jab, Jab + Clone Project run. But there were more synergies which I've never tried.
I didn't think this run was winnable, because I didn't have NO way to negate powerful attacks in later stages. So I was surprised with this result.
The key to win stage 4 was to manage enemy's behavior not to attack me.
Another key to win was Neutralize. It was very useful to remove annoying buffs from enemies especially in stage 4. No need to worry about shuffling against Master of Void. Removing Stealth from the Cube definitely saved the run - it allowed me to deal damage to them immediately.
As I tried in past runs, Jab, Jab + Clone Project is a broken combo to finish most stages. But it was hard to draw these 2 cards during this run.
So I tried other synergies to finish battles as quickly as possible. For example:
- Particle Accelerator and Time Acceleration to “draw” key cards and to defeat enemies on turn 1.
- Time Acceleration has no downside if a battle ends in the turn on that the card is played. It even provides more mana if its cost is reduced to 0, and leftover mana is kept by Save Mana.
- Time Acceleration + Save Mana + Continuous Attack as a powerful AoE.
- 0-cost attack cards + Upgraded Forced Blade also help to gain/maintain Focus and to quickly finish battles.
- Smuggling + Extra Force to gain Focus without worrying about spending gold.
And as I thought before, TU15 was not difficult.
I think TU12 (-1 mana on turn 1) is the most difficult modifier. It makes hard to finish battles as quickly as possible.
Modifiers about HP were nothing, because the key to win this game is to take almost no damage. Other modifiers can be negated by playing, skills and/or gears.
In addition, this game allows the player to take/buy rewards in any order. The only exception is to take mission rewards — it is only possible before each battle. Otherwise, anything is possible. You can buy goods and obtain skills DURING a battle.
This is interesting game design. But it makes this game quite easy.
Anyway, I'm satisfied to play Naya in Adventure mode. I'll try the other 2 characters later.
