NES Classic Edition mini (latency/lag)
Major lag. The same TV has far less lag with Wii Virtual Console (480p component), real NES (composite A/V), or HDMI-modified Hi-Def NES (HDMI set to 1080p output). Unfortunately, this latency has already led to countless in-game deaths, but I still managed to complete Ninja Gaiden.
Game mode is enabled for this HDMI input. Still, it's possible the TV adds more latency for 720p HDMI than it does for 480p component, 480i/240p composite, or 1080p HDMI. The TV is also set to "full pixel" to minimize extra processing of the picture. The TV is an old Sony 52" XBR (one of the first 1080p sets).
NES Classic video mode is set to "pixel perfect" to minimize image processing before it reaches the TV.
Ninja Gaiden was more difficult than it usually is. Punch Out just might be impossible!
