The Netgear Nighthawk X6S AC3000 is a tri-band wi-fi extender that has a bunch of premium features I found appealing. First of all, the tri-band technology means the connection between the extender and router (this extender can be paired with most non-Netgear routers also), utilises the third dedicated wireless band. This allows your devices to connect over the 2.4ghz or 5ghz without the bandwidth being limited.
Secondly, the 'Smart Roaming' feature allows the extender to literally extend a current network. Most extenders will create a seperate wireless network for your devices to connect to, but when moving about you will have to keep reconnecting to the individual networks. Not the case here.
