Nether is an attempt at combining the elements of the survival horror genre with the first person style of The Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim and finally adding the MMO dash to top it all off. The story is minimal but the game attempts to make up for it with its gameplay. Is it truly worth your time and hard earned money? Let's find out!

Before you even start the game, it's already exciting the average player because it combines the two most popular demands for an online RPG game out there now, namely: co-op and survival. Once you get into the game however, you quickly learn that even with your friends, it takes a lot more to survive in this visceral game world than simply being around others. This game is a challenge and is one of the reasons why it is so fun; its survival horror elements add a layer of difficulty to the game that isn't seen very often in MMO games and is likely the main reason why Nether shines in its category. Also, the unique blend of PvE and PvP aspects adds yet another layer to the game in that players don't know who to trust as everyone is free to attack others. The combat is very fun but against the ethereal enemies called the Nethers, it is not usually advisable as they are much faster and stronger than you and as a result, the player is encouraged to find other ways of defeating or avoiding them which is the games true bulk of fun; being forced to survive against all odds is the kind of experience that not many MMOs can get down very well. As far as hype goes, this game hasn't received a lot of attention but it certainly deserves more than it gets.
