AMD recently announced Radeon Super Resolution recently, which gives a HUGE performance boost to RDNA 1 and RDNA 2 GPUs. AMD are claiming that AMD RSR gives a HUGE 70% increase in gaming performance, compared to RSR off. But just what is AMD Radeon Super Resolution? And how does it differ from AMD FSR / FidelityFX Super Resolution? Both AMD and Nvidia are being very aggressive with their upsampling announcements, as with RDNA 3 and RTX 40 fast approaching, effective upsampling is going to be crucial to get high performance on high resolutions with ray tracing. But with such a HUGE performance boost unlocked for RDNA 1 and RDNA 2 graphics cards, can Nvidia DLSS and DLDSR keep up?
