New Arrow BUD Switch Concept - Removed Features Work in 1.5 too - Minecraft Tutorial
I invented a new BUD switch that hasn't been invented before. It uses a game mechanic where arrows, stuck in a block, start moving again if the block updates. Using the new vertical dispensers we can automate that.
Dinnerbone removed a lot of fancy BUD switch features, like doors, jukeboxes, end portal frames etc. You can use water, piston or redstone lamp BUD switches, they no longer work. It only works with this new design of mine.
If you are wondering how I discovered this: I was playing a super-hostile map a long time ago. There was an area made of redstone ore and with tons of skeletons. This way many arrows got stuck in the ore, and I noticed that they keep shaking and making the arrow noise whenever I walk on the ore. I saw the BUD switch concept right away -- but I found no way of automating it, until vertical dispensers came out now!
