New DCS Server Announcement | Tempest's Blue Flash | DCS Multiplayer
785Several of you have asked for me to put together a more modern version of our Cold War server and the simple truth is I simply do not have the time to do that. But just because I do not have more time, it does not mean that you cannot have what you want. The team at Enigma's Dynamic Cold War Server is trying to elevate not just our server but the entire community. We think dynamic campaigns are fun and it gives people a purpose to fly and to get invested into their play sessions. For this reason, we have given some code available to parts of the community so they can elevate their missions.
Due to the constant requests for a late cold war or more modern scenario, I have decided that we will loan our code over to a sister team that will be hosting their own server and their own community. *I am absolutely not involved in any way nor do I want to be involved due to my time constraints* I have known Tempest for a very long time and we have come to an agreement where we will feed his team code and they will maintain their own mission and server.
Additionally, we have also set up some pre-existing conditions to make sure that this new server does not cut the ECW playerbase in half. We believe that there are a lot of players that like fox-1 fighting that are simply underserved in this community and our guess is that net new population will be joining his server while ECW continues at the usual full levels. If we find that this new server is simply overlapping with the existing player base and cutting the pop down too much then we will close the new server down.
If you are interested in playing his server you should ask on his discord and not mine. As I am not involved with this server, I am not able to answer any questions about it. We will see how this goes and if it goes well, we may be willing to make more of our code available to the general population and not just select servers but we will cross that bridge when we get there.

Eagle Dynamics has made it easier than ever to learn DCS because the game is technically free. The game has the F-15, F-16, Su-27, Mig-29, Mig-21, Mig-19, Mig-15, F-86 Sabre, Jf-17, Mirage 2000, F-18 Hornet and F-14 Tomcat. There are soon other modules coming such as the Mig-23 and F-4. Lastly, there are helicopters like the Mi-24 Hind and AH-64 Apache.
