Today we are building the much anticipated brand new Lego Ideas #53 The Polaroid OneStep SX--70 Camera set #21345, with 516 pieces. This $80 US set is currently available and looks incredible! We take time in this video to relish the history of the SX-70 which sold between 1971 - 1982. But interesting as it may be this model of camera is a derivative of the SX-70 and was not sold as a SX-70. In 1977 to make a more cost friendly version of the SX-70 they came out with the Polaroid Land Camera 1000. Clearly we are blinded by the uniqueness of this set to notice this discrepancy. Unboxing the set we find 4 bags, 3 Polaroid stills, a small sticker sheet, and the instruction booklet. Building this set was a breeze, and a lot of fun. Once again, Lego created something with a sophisticated function to be easy and unique to build. Reviewing this set we compare it to the original Lego Ideas winner. There are clearly somethings done better in each rendition of the model. The build does feature almost equal parts printed and sticker elements which is nice. This set is priced at about 15.5 cents per piece, making it a very expensive 500 piece set at the $80 US. But with the amount of printed elements and the 3 Polaroid stills, its clear to see what we are paying for. This is a third in a row for a definite recommend this week. Lego Really kicked off 2024 right this year. I hope you all enjoyed this video, and the history I shared. As always please comment your thoughts down below.
