Today we take a break from builds and do a daddy and daughter day at the mall. After lunch at Chipotle, our main mission is going to Apple and Lego. We have to visit Apple for a new iPhone 15 Pro Max. I hate the idea of upgrading so soon. But I really need the newly added USB-C port for content creating, and my current iPhone 14 Pro max doesn’t have that, it has only Lightning. Going to the Lego Store, I had to come back and do a Pick A Brick box, I wanted to do this experiment for you guys on the first, but couldn’t get back in the store to grab a box of parts. I also wanted to give a tour of my local Lego Store with the new 2024 sets since I failed doing so on the first as well. Unfortunately, the detailed tour of 2024 new releases was thwarted by high sales of new products leaving shelves bare, thus I showed mostly empty or fluffed shelves at my store. At least you guys now know, what my store is like, very small and busy. Back at home, I go over the exact details of the iPhone upgrade to use with the DJI Mic, and then take that project off camera to complete. I then showed that we did grab at the LegoStore, which is the new $20 Lego City Sailboat set for our ocean, and the box of PAB (Pick A Brick) parts. I then take an old PAB cup and pour the box of PAB into it to see the difference if any in volume. What I find is slightly shocking, you can pack in a couple extra grams of lego with the box than the cup. So the boxes are a win for us the consumer and the environment. Yay!
