The next Nintendo Direct live stream will take place on Wednesday, February 8, Nintendo has confirmed.
The event will take place at 2pm PT / 10pm GMT and feature “roughly 40 minutes of information mostly focused on Nintendo Switch games launching in the first half of 2023,” according to Nintendo.
The last Nintendo Direct took place in September and featured Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Pikmin 4, Fire Emblem Engage and GoldenEye 007. On Tuesday Nintendo reaffirmed its previously-announced games planned for release this year; Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe (February 24), Bayonetta Origins (March 17), Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (May 12) and Pikmin 4 (2023).
Last week, the Nintendo eShop page for Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was updated, potentially indicating that a new release date for the long-delayed game could be announced.
Giant Bomb reporter Jeff Grubb – who correctly reported that a Nintendo Direct would be held this week – speculated that Nintendo could finally confirm a new release date for the title, which was delayed from its planned 2022 release date due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Another title that has suffered delays, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, will be released in May and could launch alongside a special edition Switch OLED console.
