NEW POPPY & ZED MIDRANGE COMBO! Pop Off Deck Legends of Runeterra 2.15
14Pop Off is a midrange Demacia/Ionia deck with early aggressive potential. For most of your games, your mulligan should focus on low cost units and champions, but certain matchups will require at least one of your 2 cost combat tricks.
On defense, take your trades wisely. This deck thrives on offense, and can usually wipe the opponents board with nearly 0 losses when done properly.
Most of your victories will be decided by turn 6, but when games go longer, Cithria will help you close out in the late game. Other than her stat buff, the fearsome keyword will often win games on the spot.
TIPS:
1.) Use Syncopation primarily as defensive combat trick. Try to keep other units on the board with your champions so you have units to Syncopate with. In many cases, Syncopation functions like a flexible Deny. Only use offensively if it means A.) you'll win the game, B.) you're getting Zed leveled, or C.) you'll get a MASSIVE hit to their nexus.
2.) Poppy is very important, but it's not the end of the world if she dies. As long as you get at least one attack in with her, she's done her job.
3.) When summoning Swiftwing Flight, ALWAYS take the Silverwings. Silverwings are fantastic for out-valuing your opponent and creating scary board states. The more challenger units, the better for Poppy and your other buff units.
4.) Always look to apply the +1 attack from Inspiring Mentor onto Zed first, other units second. You'll get much more offensive value this way, and will make it hard for your opponent to block into Zed. In some cases though, buffing Poppy is proper because of her champion effect, or buffing challenger units to knock down essential targets like Azir or Veigar.
5.) While your elusives can be a win condition on their own, don’t be afraid to trade out Shadow Assassin on defensive turns. The main value of that card is in its play effect, as if can help you to keep momentum, look for combat tricks or rallies, or board presence. Be much more hesitant to sacrifice your Young Witch - she enables a lot of your offensive gameplan. Nonetheless, you can still use her for chumping enemy elusive strategies.
6.) Spirit's Refuge is flexible. When your nexus is low and you desperately need life steal, use it on your biggest unit to regain health. Most of the time, however, you will be using this defensively to protect your champions.
