New Super Luigi U Playthrough Part 6
0In this part, we complete Rock-Candy Mines.
These are the stages shown in this part:
Rock-Candy Mines-1: Mount Fuzzy. This is the first appearance of Fuzzies in this game, and they're pretty easy to deal with in this stage.
Star Coin #1: Jump up to the row of Blocks with the Coin while avoiding the Fuzzies.
Star Coin #2: As Ice Luigi, freeze the Fuzzies under this Coin and use them as platforms to grab it.
Star Coin #3: Again, ride a frozen Fuzzy to this Coin.
Rock-Candy Mines-2: Porcupuffer Cavern: This is the only stage in the game to contain Porcupuffers. They can be quite annoying.
Star Coin #1: Jumping on the poles, a Coin will appear. Go down and get it.
Star Coin #2: Climb up the pole near the Huckit Crab to reveal a hidden area with the Coin.
Star Coin #3: Go down and grab this Coin while avoiding the Porcupuffer.
Rock-Candy Mines-Tower: Smashing-Stone Tower: This stage contains many Grrrols that must be avoided. Boom Boom is fought here for the last time.
Star Coin #1: Jump under this Coin to reveal Invisible Blocks. Get the Coin by jumping off them.
Star Coin #2: Jump into the dented ceiling with Luigi's face in the secret area.
Star Coin #3: Instead of using the Pipes to get up, use Wall Jumps to climb up the Blocks and find the last Coin.
Secret Exit: Enter the Pipe on the left (near the Grrrols being released), then Ground Pound on the center of the floor to reveal a Pipe that will take you to the exit.
Rock-Candy Mines-3: Spike's Seesaws: This stage has you climbing tilting platforms while avoiding Spikes.
Star Coin #1: Just grab this Coin while dodging the Spike. It's easy to do.
Star Coin #2: You should see a Spike standing on Brick Blocks. Kill it, then Ground Pound the Blocks and run left to find the Coin.
Star Coin #3: Grab the Coin on the right side while avoiding the Spikes. Fire Luigi makes this easy.
Rock-Candy Mines-4: Light-Up-Lift Tower: This stage has you riding Glow Blocks while avoiding various hazards.
Star Coin #1: Toss a shell at this Coin to grab it.
Star Coin #2: Stay on the right. It will look like you'll get crushed, but the two right Blocks will move, taking you to the second Coin.
Star Coin #3: When you reach the top, jump to the left to find the final Coin, but avoid the Super Piranha Plant if you can.
Rock-Candy Mines-5: Rising Piranhas: This stage contains many types of Piranha Plants, such as Super Piranha Plants and Stalking Piranha Plants.
Star Coin #1: Ride the platform to this Coin, but watch out for the Stalking Piranha Plant.
Star Coin #2: Use a shell to kill the Stalking Piranha Plants near the row of Coins, then jump in the center stone to find the Coin.
Star Coin #3: Kill the Super Piranha Plant guarding this Coin with a shell, then grab it.
Secret Exit: In the area with two Super Piranha Plants, kill either one, then wait for the platform to reach its highest peak. next, jump to the ceiling on the left. This will take you to the exit.
Rock-Candy Mines-6: Spine Coaster Stowaways: This stage has you riding multiple Spine Coasters over poisonous water.
Star Coin #1: Quickly run to the left and grab this Coin while it's going up.
Star Coin #2: Stomp the P-Switch, then jump to unguarded Coin.
Star Coin #3: Jump into this Coin when it appears. This may take a few tries.
Rock-Candy Mines-Tower 2: Sumo Bro's Spinning Tower: This stage contains platforms you must spin to move, along with many Sumo Bros. The Boss Sumo Bro is fought here.
Star Coin #1: Spin the platform up to this Coin, then jump and grab it.
Star Coin #2: Spin the last platform all the way to the top-right, then kill the Sumo Bro and grab the Coin.
Star Coin #3: Jump around to find some Invisible Blocks. Keep going up, kill the Sumo Bro, then grab the Coin.
Rock-Candy Mines-7: Switch Lift Express: This stage has you pushing Switches to move around blocks to progress.
Star Coin #1: Stomp on the Switch that moves the block to the left, then use that block to get up to the Coin.
Star Coin #2: Head to the Fire Bro on the right (without stomping the nearby Switch), then kill it and grab the Coin.
Star Coin #3: On the long block, DON'T hit the first Switch, go on and hit the second Switch so you can reach the last Coin.
Rock-Candy Mines-Castle: Roy's Ironclad Castle: This stage contains iron blocks that will be dropped in lava for you to walk across. Roy is the boss here, and he fights like he did in New Super Mario Bros. U.
Star Coin #1: Hit the first Switch you see for the Coin to appear. Just grab it from there.
Star Coin #2: You'll see this one with some Dry Bones. hit the Switch, then dash to the Coin before it sinks into lava.
Star Coin #3: I feel stupid for not noticing this.. You need to enter the back path of the Castle to get this Coin, lol. Just wait for it to come down on a block, then grab it. Jump over the Podoboos.
