While there was nothing particularly BAD about my older intro, I decided it was time to retire it and make a new one. My old intro was nice, but I noticed under the Analytics feature in YouTube that my audience retention dropped SUBSTANTIALLY during the intro. I think that's largely due to how long it was. 26 seconds is too long for an intro. You should shoot for 7 seconds, but don't go too far past 10.

This intro has a few key benefits over the old one as well. First of all, I rendered this out in 60 fps, so that way, should I ever start making 60 fps vids often, I can have a 60 fps intro to go with it. Also, this intro is square in shape, which means I only need one version, and it will fit into any video. I had to keep the pictures and text awya from the edges though, otherwise it would make the intro look bad.

We'll see how this intro works out. I'll make a video showing how I put it together, so stay tuned to that.
