17NFL Blitz is an all-time N64 classic, but did you know that there is a newer version that can be played on actual Nintendo 64 hardware? It includes updated rosters, team logos, and teams, including some that weren't in the original version of NFL Blitz, like the Washington Commanders, the Houston Texans, and the Cleveland Browns.
In this gameplay video of NFL Blitz 2023, it's Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars versus Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals, in a game that ends up going the distance in overtime!
First released in the arcade in November of 1997, the original NFL Blitz was first ported to the Nintendo 64 nearly a year later, when it hit the N64 on September 9, 1998. This N64 hack is based off of the sequel, NFL Blitz 2000.
