The problem with NFT and blockchain games is that everything they offer can already be done - and already is being done - without NFTs or blockchain even existing.

We take a look at some of the most common arguments in favour of using NFTs, blockchain and crypto in video games and explain how those things can already be done, are already being done, and give examples of those existing implementations. We also define what NFT and blockchain are and give a real-world metaphor for how this... interesting relationship would look if an NFT were a real-world item.

This video is specifically about NFTs and blockchain's proposed uses in the gaming space and not an attempt to analyse or critique NFTs, blockchain or crypto as a general concept. A video about NFTs in general would need A LOT more time to discuss in detail, but good news is that someone has already done that and I *strongly* recommend you watch "Line Goes Up" by Folding Ideas if you have any interest in NFTs at all - don't be put off by the length, that time is completely justified by the wealth of content in the video:
