Here is a video demonstration showing how to destroy Marbus and his minions on Master Ninja difficulty as Rachel on Chapter 8.

Strategy - If Marbus is flying around you can shoot him with Rachel's machine gun, the faster you shoot the more damage you will inflict.

You can avoid his aerial tornado in a number of different ways, you can either use a Failed ET to pass through unscathed or you can simply evade the attack.

However, if you wish to style against him you can use S S S GC as soon as he starts spinning in the air. If you time it correctly the I-frames of her gun will prevent you from taking damage.

Once Marbus lands after a successfully evaded tornado attack, you can deal optimal damage provided your inputs are precise and quick using the following combo S S DC, S S DC, S S T T T.

As such, this combo should only be performed from behind Marbus because he will always attempt a grab on wake-up.

Although I did not show this in the video you can block reset his downward strike or counter it with either S or T, should you attempt to block reset any of his other attacks you will take damage.

Marbus is actually a very easy boss to defeat, it is his minions that cause problems, therefore, you can use ninpo cancel to avoid taking unnecessary damage.
