Here is a video demonstrating how to defeat Volf as Rachel on the team mission Master Ninja 3 without taking damage.

Strategy - If you absorb the essence from the chest for a UT cancel, you can deal a decent amount of damage if you release your charge the instant Volf begins to attack you.

I used S counter to counter the first hit of his melee combo however you can use either block resets into block dash to evade the rest of the attacks or you can gun cancel your counter. Both options were shown in the video.

I block reset his ground pound and both hits of his follow-up attack before punishing Volf with the following combo S S DC, S S S GC then immediately block as she fires her machine gun.

Please note, I only go into the second part of the combo if Volf does not block my first attacks, i.e. hit confirming. This is the optimal strategy as Rachel to defeat Volf.
