The button concept is cracked but the demo pictures don't work out the way they're supposed to because it's a little complicated and how the buttons work. Basically, you press in r3 and then press L1. However, doing that by itself will not work you're just going to do a crouch block. What you also need to be doing is be skating why you push that button combination. If you are doing it correctly you will notice the player spin while he was crouching not just crouched forward. Then of course is the all so tricky part is actually making contact with the player you are trying to hip check. It is probably best to attempt this along the boards you can succeed in open ice but it's very risky and odds are you going to miss quite a bit compared to trying to just deliver a body check. However, it is really cool when you deliver a good hip check and the highlight reels pretty cool. In fact, there are a couple videos on this channel in the NHL 20 playlist that have some really good hip checks visuals on them. Unfortunately, this one does not or of course you know I would have put that in the thumbnail because I always like to put the best picture in the song really fast so we can most of time anyway.
