After picking up some more stuff from Yule's Peddler, the party heads into the Glittering Grotto to the north to hunt for the last magic stone (time index 2:24). While here, they will also be leveling Jabbo the Jabberguppy for Errand #059 and seeking an Ice Queen for Errand #073.

The Glittering Grotto is a pretty cool place, literally. To the north and west, the party crosses the first icy bridge to the south. To the south of the bridge, they find a red chest that contains a Frosty Flan (time index 6:58).

To the northwest, over another bridge, a red chest contains a Snow-White Ice Cream (time index 8:50).

Back on the main path, the party recruits an Ice Queen named Sheeva (time index 12:23). How convenient!

This is the last of the three familiars that Derwin wants for Errand #073, so they leave the grotto and Travel back to Yule. Of course, they have to put the Lotus Bubbud, the Sasquash, and the Ice Queen into their familiar lineup (time index 14:31). Then, they present these fine specimens to Derwin (time index 15:09). The scholar rewards them with a Jumbo Sundrop, a Jumbo Stardrop, 3,000 Guilders, and 6 Merit Stamps.

After concluding their business in Yule, the party Travels back to the Glittering Grotto, where they continue exploring the main path (time index 17:54). Right away, they recruit a Pond Pom named Pondinsky (time index 18:27). Jabbo the Jabberguppy also levels up.

At the northern end of this ledge, notice how the wall behind the Tomte shimmers (time index 19:46). Remember this phenomenon for later. After the next battle, the party uses their new Stardrop to metamorphose Gunther the Burly Hurly into a Hurlcules (time index 21:28). This increases the number of tricks he can perform in battle.

After crossing the bridge to the west, they head to the northern end of this ledge and open a red chest to acquire a Phoenix Breath (time index 24:34). East of the chest, they can jump across an ice pillar to continue north. But doh, the ice pillar breaks!
