3Architect Nicholas Dalton takes Matthew Ridge to Ngamatea in Hawke's Bay, the Wishart House at Omapere on the Hokianga Harbour, and the Tent House on Waiheke Island, as well as to see Nick's own work incorporating traditional Maori design. Nick was born and raised at Mamaku-a small timber town near Rotorua. The family church was St Faith's in Rotorua, an historic building incorporating both European and Maori elements. This church had-and continues to have-a major influence on Nick.
