Nickelodeon fans rejoiced this morning when an official announcement came via IGN for the new smash-style brawler Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. It looks to be everything you would want from a Nickelodeon-themed Super Smash Bros. game but what’s particularly interesting is just how varied the roster choice already is.
Classics like SpongeBob and Hey Arnold! Are to be expected. Surprisingly, some of the more cult classics like the Wild Thornberrys, Invader Zim, and Aahhh!!! Real Monsters made the cut.
Even more surprising are playable characters like Reptar from Rugrats and Powdered Toast Man from Ren & Stimpy.
Easy to say there are a lot of fans out there with nostalgia for Nicktoon characters and even though this game looks smaller in budget it could be a pretty big deal.
