Learning that the only place she can replace her fuel filter is at the machine village with their leader Pascal irritates A2 beyond measure. Her hatred of machines makes her initially distrustful of Pascal. Once she realizes how peaceful he is, she soon changes her mind and even protects their village during the attack by the hostile machines. Pascal and his colony take refuge in the Abandoned Factory but A2 finds out that even more machines are converging on their location. Pascal sheds his peaceful nature and swears to kill the machines that would harm the children of the village. He aids A2 by hacking into a Goliath, decimating the enemy behemoth Engels. It’s quite exhilarating to control a Goliath during this battle.
