The story's getting intense now, and so is the game's difficulty, if acts 3 and 4 weren't difficult already. To beat Ashtar in act 5, you'll want to stick to one wall to avoid getting hurt, then run in and slash him whenever possible, being careful to dodge his 8-way projectile attack.
From Act 6 onward, they start dropping in enemies everywhere, so special attacks and spirit clones become near necessity to survive.
