Ninja Gaiden (NES) Perfect Run [Sword Only/No Damage] Act V
*****READ DESCRIPTION FIRST*****
...Phew. I can't believe how difficult this was, but it's up nonetheless. The rest of the details are in the video's difficulty analysis, but I was forced to break the sword only rule at the end of this...but technically it isn't a rule break since the Spin Attack skill that acts as a whole new weapon still counts as Dragon Sword hits despite costing NP. But I'll let it slide since the boss in particular has a very cheap pattern that is chance-based and nearly impossible to dodge if the game feels like having pity on you. I would have allowed the whole "chance of dodging" thing slide and kept rolling with it if not for, A.) I'm recording this from my Wii, which means no save state abuse. I would record this from my computer, but I usually have bad luck with that for NES games. And, B.) If it wasn't such a pain to get back to the point if I failed. This run is for fun, not to torture myself based on something that has an unknown chance of dodging.
But I digress and will allow the video to show this itself. With Act V done, the Final Act is approaching...you know, it feels good to make it this far. But this also means it'll be even MORE of a pain to do this on the Wii. I might just work out my recording problems on the computer if it gets too frustrating on the Wii and just record it from an emulator...but I don't want to resort to that just yet. Plus working my way back up to Act VI is good speed and reflex practice, so there's at least a pro there compared to the dozens of cons. But all I ask is for your patience and lucky wishes. This may take me a while to finish...
Stay tuned!
