Ninji Speedrun WITHOUT SEEING! Big Shoes Gustin' In The Desert [SUPER MARIO MAKER 2]
I played the Ninji Speed Run Big Shoes Gustin' in the Desert blind, and only read Twitch chat's instructions to beat the level. Was a fun Ninji Run!
Nab a Big Shoe Goomba's big shoe and get steppin'! If you ground-pound while wearing a big shoe, you can blow away multiple enemies that can't normally be defeated and even topple multiple foes at once. Flaunt your favorite footwear, and find the fastest way to the finish!
Ninji Speedruns is an online mode in Super Mario Maker 2 that was added in the version 2.0 update. Players compete to get the best time on official Nintendo-made courses with new courses being added periodically. Each race is available for 7 days, although previous levels can still be played afterward.
When first playing a course, it will be in the "Ninji Recon" mode where players are advised to take their time and focus on simply completing the course. After completing a course, times are submitted to the worldwide leaderboard. When replaying a course, players will now be able to race against other players' Ninji Ghosts, which are played exactly how they were by the user themselves, and see if the player can improve their time.
It is also possible to disable the Ninji Ghosts feature in the pause menu, or change how many appear onscreen. Replaying a course after the race ends, will enable the option of playing against bronze, silver or gold star Ninji Ghosts, as well as the player's own personal best time.
After completing a course, players will earn a stamp that can be viewed in the Stamp Card menu. After earning enough stamps, players will be given Ninji-themed Mii Outfits.
After completing 1 stage, the player will get the Ninji Cap.
After completing 4 stages, the player will get the Ninji Shirt.
After completing 7 stages, the player will get the Ninji Slacks.
After completing 10 stages, the player will get the Ninji Outfit.
After completing 11 stages, the player will get the Cheetah Headgear.
After completing 14 stages, the player will get the Cheetah Tanktop.
After completing 17 stages, the player will get the Cheetah Short-Shorts.
After completing 20 stages, the player will get the Cheetah Suit.
Each course has 3 categories for completing it within a set period of time; bronze, silver and gold stars. Times are revealed at the end of each race and achieving a high enough clear time will temporarily award a player's Mii with the corresponding stars.
