A longplay recorded just for fun.

I figured I try something new, like Dr. Mario, and test out my Japanese GameCube at the time. This puzzle game was inspired by Tetris 2, an early Tetris title from the NES/SNES days.

The common element, for all Dr. Mario games, are clearing all Viruses as quickly as possible. Another victory condition is making your opponent top out.

I'm mixed when it comes to preference, I like this version because of the variety of modes & train with CPU opponents. The biggest downside are the controls and how slow the game can be, competitive Dr. Mario needs a lot of work. I can see a future title make improvements & have online play, UNLIKE THE GODAWFUL DR. MARIO WORLD! I like the NES/Famicom versions because of their controls & music. As for the game itself, on both versions, setting up chains is a bit tricky but it can be done.

A different logo was used because I couldn't find the GameCube port's logo.

Gameplay was recorded from a real GameCube & Nintendo Puzzle Collection game. A RetroTink 2x Pro & ElGato HD60S were used to capture footage.
