NINTENDO SWITCH ONLINE SERVICE PRICING CONFIRMED
328Probably one of the biggest surprises of the entire Nintendo Switch reveal a few weeks ago, was that the device would feature a paid online service, which is a first for Nintendo. However, now we have a pretty good idea of just how much that will cost — and it’s surprisingly inexpensive.
In an interview with Japanese newspaper The Nikkei, Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima said that the service would cost somewhere between 2,000 yen and 3,000 yen per year, putting it in the $17–$26 range. Though details sure are light at the moment, we do know for sure that the service will cover multiplayer gaming as well as offering users a free but temporary classic game download each month.
